Established in 1964 this annual international wildlife photography competition jointly owned by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife and is often cited as being one of the most prestigious photography competitions in the world. This years competition attracted over 43,000 entries from 94 countries.

The design solution was intentionally quiet. Integral to the overall scheme was the use of LED technology which vastly reduced the light-boxes profile, increased display size, illumination quality and reduced power consumption. Black was used to compliment Universaldesignstudio's dramatic architectural concept and to provide maximum contrast with the back lit images.

The exhibition is one of the most prestigious and profitable events at the NHM, simultaneously touring the world and receiving over one million visitors.
