We know less about the bottom of the Ocean than the surface of the moon. This exhibition at the Natural History Museum gives us a greater understanding of what it is like 11,000 metres below the surface of the sea. The main focus of the project was a collaboration with Universal Design Studio on a bespoke exhibit, the Whale Fall, and a new entrance treatment to this touring exhibition. The Whale Fall depicts the journey from the death of a whale, it descent to the ocean floor and its slow decay, supporting a microcosm over a duration of 50 years. The entrance to the exhibition utilises animated typography to convey the staggering facts of the deep. Close
