Text-heavy books often appear dry and academic. To counter this, a strong typographic palette was devised. Having introduced the contents on the front cover, a flexible grid was adopted for the spreads, enabling a controlled level of expression. With the first edition enjoying bestseller status, a second edition was soon commissioned. Invited to design the new edition, Bibliothèque retained the strong typographic approach, inverting the colour palette to distinguish the cover from its predecessor.
