A brand identity for optician and life-long jazz enthusiast, Robert Roope. Robert's designs resonate with the eyewear worn by many of the jazz musicians of the 50s and 60s and he has dedicated his designs to the likes of Davis, Monk, Ellington and Coltrane by naming his products after them. For the logo, a heavy stacked type block was devised. The word black, used in isolation, becomes an enigmatic expression of “cool” in it's original definition. This was remodelled for point of sale to sit amongst the products.

The website uses an array of lifestyle shots to compliment the eyewear – products can be viewed using an open / close “drawer” device.
The bags and promotional graphics use both male and female eyewear on opposing sides. Close
