Overview
Anna Freud Centre has a long and established history of ground-breaking work, in supporting children’s emotional well-being. Bibliothèque were
asked to develop an identity for the centre, that would reflect the quality
and breadth of its activities, and to also fully support its fund-raising and publicity activities. Read more
The Centre was established in 1947 by Anna Freud, one of the founders
of child psychoanalysis whose work has had a profound and enduring influence on theories of child development.
The identity is a visual embodiment of the centres' core mechanisms: Practice, Teaching and Research. Its symbol is an abstraction of these 3 elements, an intersecting pathway, which develops on its journey, where
the elements inform and affect one other as they meet and cross.
A range of supporting literature was developed, to promote short courses, graduate and post graduate training and consultation services.
We commissioned illustrator DickyBird to create a set of assets, which would help visualise some of the difficult issues that the centre addresses. The fantastic illustrations were then used on the web site, which was developed in partnership with Fat Beehive. Close
