Dieter Rams, San Francisco MOMA
03 October 2011 – Bibliothèque
Along with Super Contemporary at Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Bibliothèque continues to be represented on the international exhibition circuit. Dieter Rams: Less and More is currently on show at the San Fancisco Museum of Modern Art, presenting more than 200 models and objects by Rams and his team. We designed the exhibition in 2009 for the Design Museum in London, and key elements from that show are used once again here.
If you didn't see the exhibition in London, and happen to be near SFMOMA in the coming months, it's well worth a look. Images here courtesy of ObjectsUSA and Mark Adams of Vitsoe.

This is Design
25 August 2011 – Bibliothèque
We are delighted to announce the opening of 'This is Design' at the Design Museum, for which Bibliothèque has designed both the exhibition and graphics.
It is a celebration of the Design Museum’s Collection and shows the impact of design on the modern world. Arranged around the themes of identity, manufacturing, the digital revolution and lifecycle, the exhibition explores the consequences of design for both our individual lives as well as contemporary culture.
Prototypes, drawings, models, first editions and finished industrial objects are on display, including highlights such as the original Mini, large scale architectural models such as Norman Foster’s HSBC Bank headquarters in Hong Kong and a selection of UK road signs.
A full update to our website will follow soon with a more expansive set of images, along with several exciting new projects.

Designer Breakfasts
06 May 2011 – Bibliothèque
Tim was part of a panel at the May Designer Breakfasts event, held at the BBH offices in central London. The heated topic of debate was 'Saying yes, and saying no'. Why would you say no to new work? Do principles go out of the window because you need the work or want the money? The other speakers talking about where they draw the line were Cheryl Giovannoni, Global KCR at Landor and Sophie Thomas founding director of Thomas Matthews.
The event was filmed for online viewing, so look out for more details about when it will be available. Future Designer Breakfast events include Wally Olins at the end of May and Richard Seymour in June.
